Expertise
In the Senior School, expert teachers inspire passion, and possess deep subject knowledge, pedagogical expertise and a fundamental understanding of the importance of relationship and care in teaching. Teachers guide students to create meaning and use critical inquiry while balancing work and play, activity and reflection.
The School-wide pedagogy model, based on Harvard University’s Cultures of Thinking methodology, focuses on making collective thinking and the thoughts of individuals more visible, requiring teachers to reflectively tweak their existing practice.
This model evokes a joy of learning, the ability to question and be curious, and enables students to develop into confident well-rounded young women.
