Ms Retha Wood

Ms. Retha Wood joined Brisbane Girls Grammar School in 2019 as the Executive Director of Human Resources, bringing over 20 years of comprehensive experience across professional services, technology, agriculture, and education sectors in South Africa and Australia. In her role, she leads the development and delivery of targeted Human Resource initiatives aligned with the School’s Strategic Design and operational objectives.

Her role encompasses overseeing the recruitment, development, engagement, and retention of talented Academic and Professional staff to support the School and its students. Ms Wood’s strategic vision and commitment to people-centred leadership supports the School’s commitment to cultivating a highly skilled, engaged, and dynamic workforce aligned with its philosophy and educational outcomes.
