Ms Jacinda Euler Welsh is a strong advocate for the broad, liberal education offered at Girls Grammar, and has a deep and authentic understanding of girls’ education.
Ms Euler Welsh is committed to educating the next generation of young women, inspiring them to be adventurous, maintain an open-minded approach to life and value the transformative power of education to build a more just world.
Ms Euler Welsh holds a Bachelor of Arts (Cold War History and Literature) and a Master’s Degree in Education Studies. Ms Euler Welsh previously taught at Girls Grammar (2000 to 2007), held positions in Sydney as Head of Middle School at Pymble Ladies College and Deputy Principal at SCECGS Redlands, and returned to BGGS as Principal in 2013.
In 2023, the Australian Council for Educational Leaders (ACEL) Queensland awarded Ms Euler Welsh the prestigious Miller-Grassie Award for Outstanding Leadership in Education. She also received a national ACEL Leadership Award, in recognition of her visionary and influential approach to educational leadership. Her expertise is often sought beyond Girls Grammar, and in 2023 she was appointed to the Queensland Futures Council, a forum of Queensland leaders who contribute to the State’s economic and social growth.
