Sports fund and rowing

In early 2015, Girls Grammar embarked on an ambitious plan to upgrade the School's rowing equipment to ensure every rower has access to equipment specifically suited to schoolgirls. This included boats that younger rowers would be able to lift, carry and lower without the assistance of a coach, and oars with handles specially sized to suit smaller hands. In 2018, the School's extensive Rowing program was boosted with the purchase of a sixth quad—Semper Fortius—the final boat required to fulfil the vision of steadily growing the sport at the School.

The Semper Fortius, which translates to 'always courageous' was officially named on Saturday 12 May 2018 at an event attended by Deputy Principal, Mrs Anne Ingram, and members of the School's Rowing community.

The School is very grateful to the Rowing Support Group for its continued commitment to supporting the program.
