Dorothy Hill Observatory
Dorothy Hill Observatory
Providing exceptional teaching and learning spaces can significantly help students to achieve their full potential. Philanthropic support directed to the Building Fund allows the School to continue to enhance facilities to engage and challenge our students in interesting ways.
One of the most innovative building projects supported by donations to the Building Fund has been the Dorothy Hill Observatory.
With the generous support of the School community, the Observatory was launched in late 2017. The benefits of this extraordinary learning asset allow students to use the facility to extend on classroom learning in ways that challenge their existing knowledge and promote critical thinking.
Data captured at the Dorothy Hill Observatory has been submitted to the All-Sky Automated Survey for Supernovae project (ASASSN), based at Ohio State University.
