CEO and Charity Consultant Making an Impact
Felicia Willow is a dynamic leader in the world of philanthropy and nonprofit management, known for her exceptional work as both a interim CEO and charity consultant.
After graduating from Law at the University of Queensland, she took a role working on international crime for the Commonwealth Attorney-General’s Department, particularly in people trafficking. Felicia later worked as a human rights lawyer for the International Bar Association in London, identifying emerging international rule of law concerns for Poland, Singapore, Iran and Fiji.
Seeking a career with less travel, Felicia transitioned into the UK charity sector where she has dedicated 17 years to fostering social good, driving organisational growth and helping charities maximise their impact.
Currently working as an interim CEO and charity consultant, Felicia leads charities that are facing challenges, transitions or crisis.
‘I work on areas including strategic development, governance, crisis and culture, and have led 8 charities through transition, change and crisis.
'One of my most interesting interim CEO roles involved leading the Fawcett Society, the UK's leading gender equality, for a year. I had many exciting media opportunities there, discussing feminist issues and campaigning for change on TV, radio and newspapers.
'Throughout that work, I often remembered the Headmistress saying to us at assembly: "We aren't raising you to be ladies, we're raising you to be women".' Felicia has also worked as an expert consultant to major organisations including the United Nations Development Programme, World Vision, UNICEF, the International Organisation for Migration, Girlguiding UK and Addaction, as well as delivering a wide range of consultancy support for charities of all sizes based in the UK.
Felicia lives in Gloucester with her husband and two children and enjoys travelling when not working.
