Robotics Club Donates to Busy Schools QLD

On Thursday 26 August, Brisbane Girls Grammar School’s Robotics Club donated five decommissioned EV3 robotics kits to BUSY Schools Queensland.

BUSY Schools is a part of The BUSY Group Ltd, a not-for-profit organisation that delivers a range of programs to support skills development and career pathways. BUSY Schools is a senior school, registered with the Queensland Department of Education and Training as a special assistance school. It offers Year 11 and 12 students the opportunity to re-engage with education and complete school while getting a head-start into employment.

The Robotics Club members organised and prepared the five kits and handed them over to BUSY Schools teacher and Curriculum Coordinator, Ms Karen Danks.

We had the opportunity to share our passion for robotics with Ms Danks, and look forward to investigating future community engagement opportunities. The robotics kits will become a stepping stone within their school’s curriculum, introducing mechatronics and computer programming with robotics that many of the students may not have otherwise been able to access.
