On Saturday 4 June, the QGSSSA Cross Country team completed their extended 2022 season at John Paul College. It was a spectacular day for running, and each and every athlete that represented the School is to be congratulated. BGGS finished in an outstanding second place in the QGSSSA Aggregate Trophy.
Our Head Coach, Mr Tim Franklin, and Assistant Coaches, Ms Sally Callie, Mrs Nadine Cameron, Ms Stephanie Johnson, Miss Sabine Hatzipetrou (2021), Miss Annie Hill, and Miss Emily Sullivan (2021), are to be congratulated on their hard work in preparing the team.
QGSSSA results can be found on Minerva and all girls are to be highly praised for their improvements throughout the season. The first five Grammar girls in each age group are to be commended for their outstanding run on the day. A huge congratulations to Zoe McElwaine (9G) for winning the 14 years age group.
Congratulations to the 15 Years age group for winning their age pennant. The scoring runners were Jemima Morton (10M), Lillian Wall (10B), Usha Thakur (10W), Sophie Hunt (9O) and Eliza Hoyling (9O).
Thank you to our BGGS community—staff, family, and friends—for your support on Saturday and throughout the season. Cross Country is a huge commitment and Saturday’s results topped off what has been an outstanding season.
