The 2021 Junior Softball season is well underway, and our teams are looking strong ahead of fixtures commencing next week. This year, Girls Grammar are fielding teams in the Year 9A and B divisions, Year 8A and B divisions, and the Year 7A and B divisions.
Teams have been training hard two mornings a week at Downey Park, under the guidance of expert coaches—Olympian, Tanya Harding; Softball QLD coaches, Laura Coulter and Fabian Barlow; and Old girls, Ms Samantha Caton (2016), Ms Abi Ashford (2017), Ms Ravleen Kahlon (2017), and Ms Madison Satyasiv (2017). The girls have developed their batting and fielding skills and received specialist coaching in pitching and catching.
We are looking forward to competing in our fixtures next Tuesday and Thursday afternoon at Downey Park and encourage the School community to come and support us.
