The Beanland ‘Big Sister Breakfast’ was an initiative of the 2019 Beanland House captains, Ellie Dowling (2019) and Arabella Walsh (2019). The aim was to host an informal event where Year 12 Beanland girls could chat with the Year 11 ‘Beanlanders’, and share their knowledge and experiences of being a Year 12 student. The House Captains try to host at least one breakfast every term.
Last year’s Year 11 students found the breakfast helpful and so 2020 House Captains, Astrid Walters (12B) and Lua Jarrah (12B), were eager to continue the event. Held on Wednesday 10 June, the breakfast was the first for 2020. During House Group time the girls enjoyed a hot drink and a chat about study, leadership, organisation and other topics of interest.
