The School’s Senior Softball teams finished their season last Saturday in true BGGS style, displaying determination and encompassing team spirit to achieve excellent results. We are very excited to announce we secured the School’s first 2021 QGSSSA Premiership, with the Senior A team winning their division and remaining undefeated throughout the season. The Open team finished in third place in the QGSSSA competition, and the Senior B team finished first in their social competition with only one loss across their six games.
It has been a short, jam-packed season with all team members training and playing their best. We met our goals to achieve inclusivity and a spirited environment, and for the first time in several years, all teams finished in podium placing. We know all the girls enjoyed the weekly Most Valuable Player awards, healthy snacks after each training and our softball breakfast. We would like to thank the supporters who came along to our Saturday games, coaches for their expertise, and our Coordinator, Ms McCorley, for her unwavering support. See you all again in Term 3 for the start of the Junior season.
