On Wednesday 29 May 2019, the St Stephen’s Cathedral was filled with sublime music presented by the School’s senior ensembles. The concert included works spanning centuries allowing the audience to enjoy the unique timbres and tonal colours created in the glorious acoustic.
The music program featured performances by Symphonic Winds, Chamber Strings, Chamber Singers, Grammar Singers and Chorale. Queensland Symphony Orchestra musical mentor, Mr Shane Chen, who works with Chamber Strings was in attendance to support the group—as was organist, Dr Phillip Gearing, whose contributions to the repertoire were impressive. Congratulations and thank you to all performers and staff for the outstanding level of music.
