Congratulations to Emily Flanagan (11E) who has been selected to participate in the Mittelheuser Internship Program with the State Library of Queensland from Monday 1 July to Friday 5 July 2019.
As one of two successful applicants, Emily will be mentored for five days by staff and gain insight into a range of professional services, including research curation, conservation, design and arts management.
Emily said she has always been interested in Australian history, however, her curiosity deepened after touring ANZAC sites in Europe earlier this year.
‘After singing with Voices of Birralee, in Villers-Bretonneux on ANZAC Day to commemorate the centenary of the First World War, I became increasingly interested in Modern History’.
‘I am looking forward to learning more about the professional activities undertaken at the State Library of Queensland, particularly in the cultural sector.’
The School wishes Emily all the best for the Internship Program.
